Greetings, Capt Ken, and All,
I'll be there this year, too. I plan on arriving on Friday morning, and look forward to seeing you all there!! Be safe, and see you soon! God Bless!
Every Good Wish,
Doc

Re: Jul/Aug, 2016 Gazette
Good Morning, All, I echo Ty's comments on the 20 year/Linville Gorge article. Capital stuff, and very well done, William!! Makes me even MORE sad that I won't be able to join you in October. Thanks for sharing your memories, and best good fortunes on the upcoming trip to the Gorge! Take care, and G...

Re: Hunting Shirt Colors
Hey, Ty,
Excellent stuff! Thanks for sharing this. My own hunting shirt is dyed pecan/brown, and I like it quite a lot. Need to wear it more often, as it's been put away in my Campaign trunk for a long time. Thanks, again, for posting this. Take care, and God Bless!
Every Good Wish,
Mark

Re: Proper iron belt buckles.
Hey, Delbert, Let's just go ahead and amputate Tom's foot, and get ahead of the game. That way, he won't have to shoot himself in the foot, and he can get on with his hobby of watching bread mold!!! You hold him down, and I can remove that pesky foot in around 3 1/2 minutes, without a single problem...

Re: Proper iron belt buckles.
Hey, Ty, and William, Ty, thanks for the info on the buckles. I'm running out of time, and will very probably use what I have, as there are more important things left to do than shop for more buckles. William, thank you for that info on the 2016 LG trip. I will be there, God Willing, and hope to joi...

Re: Proper iron belt buckles.
Hey, Ty, Thanks, very much, for the info, and photo. In truth, in Newmann's Rev War book, and in the book on excavations at Fort Ligonier, I have seen "D" type buckles, but none that are as elongated as the on I currently have on my belt. I've found in both books buckles which look very similar to t...

Proper iron belt buckles.
Greetings Brothers and Sisters, I am reworking an old belt I used to use back when we were trying to be "Mountain folks" The current buckle is a large D-shaped iron buckle, and in the research I've done so far, that type of buckle is not period correct to the 18th century. I also have a more square ...

Re: Two year old Esicar bacon?
Smells nasty, kicked-over, past it's prime,................. ahhhh Mark are we still talking about the bacon here? Howdy, Tom, Well, I was looking at a photo of you in the Gazette when typing that.....must have been a Freudian Slip...!!! But, yeah, I'm all those things, too!! Now go pet your skunk,...
